Screw Flights Made in Australia and Shipped Worldwide

We can provide a wide range of flight segments ranging from 50mm diameter up to 1500mm diameter, and in a wide variety of materials from 1.6mm through to 32.0mm thick. Up to 3000mm diameter on ribbon segments. Left or right hand screw flighting and auger flighting is available in various pitches to suit your specifications.

Our Range of Sectional Flights & Auger Flighting
Single Flight Standard Pitch

Single Flight Standard Pitch

Conveyor screws with pitch spacing equal to the diameter are considered standard and suitable for most horizontal design conveyors.

Single Flight Half Pitch

Single Flight Half Pitch

Half pitch conveyors are recommended for inclined or vertical conveying and for materials which are very free flowing.

Single Flight Variable Pitch

Single Flight Variable Pitch

Flights with pitch progressively increased are used to draw fine, free flowing materials uniformly from the entire length of the feed opening.

Single Flight Short Pitch

Single Flight Short Pitch

Short pitch screws are recommended for inclines over 20 degrees slope to vertical conveying. They retard flushing of free flowing materials.

Single Tapered Flight Standard Pitch

Single Tapered Flight Standard Pitch

Tapering flight screws are generally recommended to draw friable lumpy materials from bins or hoppers.

Double Flight Standard Pitch

Double Flight Standard Pitch

Double flight produce a smooth gentle flow of certain materials are recommended for augers or post hole digging and similar applications.

Ribbon Flight

Ribbon Flight

Ribbon flights are excellent for sticky or gummy materials where the gap between the screw and the pipe prevents material build-up.

Single Cut-Flight

Single Cut-Flight

The screw flight periphery is notched to supplement the conveying action with a moderate mixing action.

Standard Pitch with Paddles

Standard Pitch with Paddles

Screw conveyors with paddles which counteract the material flow and considerably increase the mixing action.

Vane Paddle Conveyor

Vane Paddle Conveyor

The conveyor is made of steel paddles on threaded rod shanks inserted through the pipe. Conveying action is controlled by adjusting the paddle angle. Excellent for stirring, blending or mixing dry or fluid materials.

Notched & Folded / Cut Flights

Notched & Folded / Cut Flights

Notched and folded flights provide a more aggressive mixing action where material that passes through the notch is lifted and mixed with the trailing material. They can also be used for aerating or cooling materials.

Centerless Auger Flights

Centerless Auger Flights

A centerless or shaftless flight works effectively when moving sticky or large sized products. The helicoid flight is manufactured from a heavier gauge that is produced to outside diameter and pitch specifications with an open centre.

Hollow Auger Flighting

Hollow Auger Flighting

Hollow flights are also known as cavity flights. Hollow flights are used to increase-reduce the temperature of product and prevent premature failure from fatigue.

Coned & Compressing Flights

Coned & Compressing Flights

Coned flight centres provide a continuous incremental change in swept volume of the screw. This promotes even drawdown in a full hopper situation. Combined with a variable pitch the coned screw provides the best possible solution to even hopper drawdown. Standard troughs can be used with coned flights.

Cantered Flights, De-Canters, De Watering

Cantered Flights, De-Canters, De Watering

Cantered and De-Canter Flights are commonly used in for the dewatering of materials in the process of wastewater transfer.

Screw Flights Australia offer the following materials for manufacturing your Screw Augers:

Mild Steel
Exotic Alloy
Stainless Steel
Hardox
Bissalloy

Our Manufacturing Process

S/NZS 1594 – HA200 XLERPLATE® coil plate and AS/NZS 1594 – HA250 XLERPLATE® coil plate available in 3000mm x 1500mm sheet. Thickness from 1.6mm to 25.0mm. Also up to 32.0mm thick plate is if required.

Flights are cut by oxy profile, laser, or plasma cutting. The type of cutting is dependant upon the material – stainless steel, light gauge material – or the shape of the flights.

After cutting the steel is shaped in one of Screw Flight Australia’s hydraulic presses, and then supplied to the customer for fitting to pipes. Flights are snapped into place, welded to the pipe and to each other in a continous line.
