Screw Conveyor Flight Edging
Screw Flights Aust imports extrusions that are a Snap-On cover for flight edges on screw/auger conveyors.
The flight edging narrows the gap between the edge of the flight and the wall to prevent product rollback and eliminates the possibility of metal to metal contact between the flights and the wall.
Is it a Standard Full Pitch Screw?
This means the pitch (distance from one edge to the next) is equal to the screw diameter.
(Metric) 0.00 required = 3400 x the Length of the Screw.
Is it a Half Pitch Screw?
This means the pitch is equal to the half of the screw diameter.
(Metric) 0.000 required = 6700 x the Length of the Screw.
Is your Screw a Variable Screw or undetermined?
(Metric) 0.00 required = 3.396 x Screw Diameter x Number of Turns.
When calling for a Quotation, please have the following information ready:
• Screw Diameter
• Thickness of the Flight
• Does the flight edging require UV stabilization?
UV stabilization is needed if the screw conveyor sits outside in direct sunlight.
We offer two different styles of edging with one thicker than the other.
Installation
Snap the edging onto one end and pin it. Use a rubber mallet and tap on edging as you spin the auger around. You shouldn’t need to pin the flight edging more than once as this will allow thermal expansion and contraction.
